YOUR OWN TAILOR
The tailor-made collection is shipped in standard sizing (44-54), made-to-order, if you are not able to visit. Garments take up to four weeks to produce. All garments are constructed according to traditional tailoring standards. Your skilled local tailor will be able to alter the garment to your sizing if properly briefed, with which JANYAN is happy to assist. Altering a garment to achieve slim body-fit sizing is not recommended; all garments are designed to fit regularly. It is suggested to purchase the garment slightly oversized and then alter length measurements to achieve a well-fitting look.

Raglan shoulders find their origin in utility clothing, designed to allow free movement. JANYAN jackets and coats feature a half-raglan construction, creating space for forward arm movement while keeping a clean frontal appearance. Besides the practical features items drape nicely when worn oversized, making it a perfect cut for spacious silhouettes and extensive layering.
Waist circumference tends to change through-out the day/season/year. This applies to both men and women, but women will experience a bigger difference in hip-waist-ratio. And while the waist changes, the hip is does not (or less). Therefore, it is more suitable to take your hip-circumference as a fixed reference point while allowing the waist to change constantly. Yet, correcting the waist with a belt or puller-tabs causes creases/wrinkles that could ruin the trouser's clean cut. That is why our waistband features separate panels that slide over one another, maintaining a clean appearance while allowing the waist to be adjusted.
